Just before she was to be slaughtered, Yvonne the cow managed to escape from her farm in Germany. She spent the next three months dodging local police and foraging with groups of deer, earning cult-like status among the German public. She finally gave up her fugitive lifestyle by jumping a fence to join a group of her bovine peers at a farm near the Austrian border.
